Pat Summerall — Pat Summerall

Broadcaster Pat Summerall and his wife Cheri celebrate his induction into the Hall of Fame. During his career Summerall’s voice became synonymous with big time sporting events like the Super Bowl, Master’s golf tournament, and US Open tennis championships.

John Filippelli accepting the award for George Steinbrenner — The late George M. Steinbrenner was inducted into the Sports Broadcasting Hall of Fame for his vision and understanding of how to form cable network rights deals (and ultimately the YES Network) that made the Yankees the most valuable franchise in sports. Accepting on behalf of the Steinbrenner family was John Filippelli, YES Network, president of production and programming.

Chet Simmons’ family accepting Hall of Fame award — The late Chester “Chet” Simmons has had a lasting impression on the sports broadcasting industry as his familial leadership style and risk-taking ability still resonates at ESPN. John Roché — John Roché

Roché, technical manager extraordinaire, has been a bedrock in sports production compounds for more than 30 years. His organizational abilities, calm demeanor, and ability to focus on multiple issues at once without having the on-air product suffer, makes him a Hall of Famer in every way.

John Madden — John Madden

Madden was inducted into the Sports Broadcasting Hall of Fame, joining the likes of Jim McKay, Keith Jackson, Vin Scully, and his long-time in-the-booth partner Pat Summerall. John's singular style transformed the nature of football color commentary forever.

Geoff Mason — Geoff Mason

Mason (center) with his wife Christyn and his son Geoff, Junior following his induction in the Sports Broadcasting of Hall. Mason’s decades of work behind the scenes helped create some of the most memorable moments in sports TV history.

Davey Finch — Davey Finch

Finch is the first cameraman to be inducted into the Hall of Fame. His work for CBS Sports transforms coverage, adding an emotional depth and impact that stands alone. He is pictured here with his mother Jean Nelson.

Leonard Chapman — Chapman’s career developing camera dolly, cart, and support system lead to his induction in the Hall of Fame. His camera carts changed the nature of football and tennis coverage (and many other sports) by making it easier than ever for cameras to change positions for the perfect shot. Chapman is pictured here with his wife Cindy.
